About Us
Lazy Stacks is inspired by the feeling of rebellion and the refusal to conform. Born from the intersection of African culture and personal expression, it challenges the idea of what success is supposed to look like, and celebrates the creatives building their stacks (their wealth, their freedom, their version of success) on their own terms.
The name comes from reclaiming the word lazy. It was inspired by the criticism often directed at young Nigerians as “lazy” or entitled, despite the hustle, creativity and ambition happening all around them. Lazy Stacks flips that narrative, celebrating a generation creating their own opportunities, defining their own milestones and choosing smarter, more unconventional ways to build a meaningful life.
MEET SLOTH BOY
Sloth Boy lives inside the Lazy Stacks world. From the outside he looks slow, unbothered, maybe even lazy. Inside his world, it’s wealth, freedom and imagination, measured on his own terms. He refuses to judge success by anyone else’s expectations.
LAZY is what they see. STACKS is what he’s building.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Samson Ajibade is a self-taught designer with roots in Lagos and a deep connection to African youth culture. He built Lazy Stacks as an outlet for personal expression and a way to challenge conventional ideas of success.
His approach to fashion is instinctive, experimental and deeply personal. Samson draws from culture, nostalgia, streetwear and the world around him, turning those influences into clothing that feels both effortless and considered. His collections have explored everything from 90s-inspired silhouettes and sportswear to unexpected fabrics, metallic finishes and character-driven graphics.
That creative philosophy extends beyond the clothes. Samson has built his career around creating spaces and platforms for young African creatives to express themselves. He co-founded INFLUHKS, a Cape Town retail and cultural space connecting fashion, music, art and youth culture, using it as a platform for emerging local brands.
Now based in Sydney, Samson is building the next chapter of Lazy Stacks. Same rebellion, new city.
